I realize this strip is out of sync with the times. It kinda ignores the pandemic and remote schooling.
However…
This really happened during the pandemic.
Luna was sick for a couple days and didn’t have to do the remote schooling (which she hates). She then tried to fein illness a third day to get out of class again.
Kate said, ” No no no. Talk to me if you’re dead. Otherwise, you’re going to school.”
That’s how strip ideas are born.
